Backyard Visitors

Look who visited our backyard yesterday afternoon!

The first words out of my mouth were, "Girls, go tell Daiquiri to get up here with her camera!" Daiquiri got some great shots of our little Duck Family. I'm hoping she'll share some pictures with me when she gets back from her trip.
Our kids fed the ducks bread crumbs and enjoyed watching Mama Duck march her little family around and around the yard.

Mama and her babies stayed for awhile, so I sent my girls out to sketch a nature drawing of what they saw. (I know, I know.....the teacher in me dies hard) : )

Oh Becky, what a great memory maker that was. God was so sweet to lead those ducks into your yard and you were right on having the kids draw them!

Thank you for the encouragement about She Speaks. I wish you were going so I could meet you! Maybe next year. :)

So cute Beck, I was hoping we would get some babies at some point this year, but I never saw any. We had a male and female mallard that used our pool though all spring! That was fun for the kids.

Glad you stopped by my site, Becky! I just love new blog friends. Back read most of your blog and looking forward to reading more. Anytime you want to find yourself "among the wildflowers" just come on over! Praying for you and Monster Truck!

Such cute drawings...great idea :) I can't wait to get a better look at some of the shots I got of them.

Made it to WI fine. Nice trip actually. Although the approach to Milwaukee almost made me throw up I was so scared...thought we were going into Lake Michigan for sure. Just had to close my eyes and pray. I'm a nut.

Did you see the Bible Promise verse for the day again? It's in my left sidebar. Crazy. It's either God or some strange conspiracy.

I went to bed last night at midnight and got up at 4. Little tired.

Have to run. Miss you :)

Traitor Ducks!! A mama and her ducks marched through our yard last year... we have some great pictures of mama leading them through the sprinklers. :) I guess your side of the fence was more appealing this spring. :)
