Will You Join Me? Please!!!

I wanted to ask all of you to please, please, please pray for a man from our church and his family. He was born a Muslim and grew up in an Arab country. Both he and his wife have amazing stories of how Jesus revealed Himself to them, and they gave their lives to following and serving Jesus. I'm blown away by their faith and testimony.

Twice before, the husband has been arrested and released while back in his home country because of his faith. Recently, he was arrested again. His wife made it home here with their children, but he has been detained awaiting sentencing. They were trying to build a case against the wife, so it truly is a miracle she made it home.

I don't know the couple well, other than sitting with the wife in the cry room at church a few times, but I knew their stories and hoped to get to know them. My heart has been so very heavy for this family. In this country that they are from, the sentence for converting to Christianity is the death penalty.

I get email updates letting us know how to pray. Tonight is a very crucial time. In the Arab world, it will be morning and he will be facing the judge. He has been absolutely truthful about his faith, so they have all the evidence they need to convict him. And he has been assigned the most anti-Christian judge. Please pray for a miracle.

As I've prayed for him and his family, I've learned so much and been so inspired. He is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for Jesus and loves his country and people so much. He is willing to die so that they can know Jesus, too. And his wife. It hurts my heart to think of the pain and fear she must be feeling waiting to hear what will happen. They have two small children. Please pray for her and her kids.

I know God is sovereign and has the ability to do a miracle and free him. I also know that because of his faith, if dying for Jesus is the price he must pay, Heaven is waiting. I pray that many will see his faith and want Jesus for themselves because of his faith and his story.

This is how I'm praying. Will you join me?

- For a miracle like the ones that set Peter and Paul and Silas free
- For the judge to have mercy and send him home
- For many to accept the Truth because of all of this
- That he would have many opportunities to share Jesus with others
- Peace and comfort for his wife and kids and that all of their needs will be met
- That God will be glorified

Praying,
