Such a Pregnant Thing to Do!

Last Thursday I had had it with my hair. Actually, I had had it with how I look all over but there isn't much I can change in my current round state. (I'm not complaining! I'm still counting my blessings but I definitely don't feel pretty)

So instead of driving straight like I was supposed to, I turned left at a stop light, and walked into a salon and said, "Please cut all my hair off."

The hairdresser asked me, "How would you like it cut today?"

I told her, "I don't know. Just cut it please." So she did.

I told her I'd pay extra if she could get rid of the puffy prego face, too, but she just looked at me funny and kept cutting my hair. My attempt at humor didn't work. I think she thought I really believed she could do something about my puffy prego face.

I walked in with hair a little past my shoulders and walked out with a chin length bob. I'm so impulsive! My ultra-organized, plan-ahead, engineer friend, Daiquiri, has an appointment to cut her hair tomorrow, but she is taking the very sensible, research based approach to her new do. You should check out the fun she is having on her blog with hairstyles. Oh to be that organized and self-controlled! : )

Sorry...I don't have any pictures of it yet. I'm hiding from the camera these days. Some people know how to do pregnancy cute....I'm not one of them. : )

I wanna see your cut! I wish I could do that. I plan on going to get mine cut and think to myself before I go that I am going to get it all cut off, but I seem to go home looking the same every time! Can't wait to see you guys on the
4th! I'm glad you are coming!

I had my own Steal Magnolias moment and wanted to make things as simple as possible, so one afternoon when my mom was with Sage I went to any ol salon and said chop it off, I don't care what you do to it, it is in a pony tail 99.9 percent of the time, just make it as short as possible and still be able to put up. The result was 13 inches off and a pretty cute due and an inch pony tail, and a very surprised husband when he got home from work.

BECKY...You DO TOO do the cute pregnancy thing. Either you post a picture, or I WILL!!

As for my self-control and organization...it's more like trying to work up the courage. But thanks for thinking so highly of me ;)

Love ya.

P.S. I'm not kidding about the picture!

Hi Becky,
That is great! I just got my hair cut on a whim too!! The hair dresser called it a swag bob. It's fun and short and I LOVE it!! My hubby has even told me that he really likes it which is great considering he usually likes long hair (not too attractive on a 40 something!).

I'm so glad you are getting close to your due date! PTL!
